Allergy sticker hopes to get reaction

Well, now parents can breathe a little bit easier with the help of temporary, kid-approved stick-on tattoos with messages such as "No nuts please" or "If I am lost, please help me be found".

Single mom and entrepreneur Cindi Aldrich said she was inspired to create her Tattoos with a Purpose after she found her young son in a panic crying on the playground when she was late to pick him up from school. Although he knew his home phone number off by heart, Aldrich said she realized that in stressful situations, kids can't always think straight. The temporary non-toxic tattoos, which are about 1.75" square, come in a kit complete with six tattoos, six moisture wipes for pre-cleaning, six alcohol wipes for removal and a marker for writing details such as a telephone number. More than 11 million Americans suffer from food allergies and predictions are that the incidence of food allergies is on the increase! One of the most awkward and embarrassing aspects of having food allergies is going to a restaurant and communicating which ingredients are problematic. Then the food comes out - and it's wrong! Then you have to wait ...and watch everyone else eat while your "special" food is being prepared. NO MORE!

Effective and painless communication is on the way with your FOOD ALLERGY BUDDY card. We've developed a simple tool for you to communicate effectively with your server that takes the pain out of eating out.

Aldrich will also custom design any message you wish, letting everyone know that your loved one may be in need of a little assistance. Sending a kid with a peanut allergy to a new school or on a field trip can cause a lot of anxiety.

The product, available at www.tattooswithapurpose.com for $9.99, was honoured with an iParenting Media Award last year in the safety category.
